Sizing Chart
Watch how to put on the Shed DefenderOur sizing runs much different than other pet products because we have a larger variety of sizes. We highly recommend referencing the sizing chart below as well as our Product Sizing Gallery. You can also email support@sheddefender.com if you have any questions or would like to send us a picture of your dog and we can help pick out the correct size.
- Length: Measure from the back lower part of the head (right above where the collar sits) to the start of the tail.
- Measure your dog when he/she is standing up, not laying down.
- When trying it on your dog for the first time we recommend supervising the dog while he/she is wearing the Shed Defender to ensure it's a proper fit.
- The suit is designed to have a tight, snug fit that conforms to the body.
- If the suit is too long and baggy in the back, then the back legs could slip out of the sleeves and potentially cause issues. If that is the case, then please remove the suit and start an exchange here: https://bit.ly/2rGiObD

Please note: There are some breeds that are more difficult to size including bulldogs, corgis, basset hounds and dachshunds. If the dog is shorter and the legs are too long, you can simply cut (fabric won't run), hem or roll up the legs, but please note that the product cannot be returned if altered. We are developing breed-specific sizes, so stay tuned for more information.
If you are not satisfied with the fit don't worry, we offer FREE EXCHANGES and returns for all U.S. orders with prepaid postage - click here to start your exchange or return.
Please note that not every dog fits perfectly, there are so many shapes and sizes and breeds that not every dog will fit, so feel free to let us know how yours fits and we can keep improving our product!
