Just as our lives have been changed by COVID-19, the lives of shelter animals have also been affected. Many animals feel alone as shelters struggle to stay open and provide the care that each and every pet deserves. That’s why we’ve chosen Animal Care and Control Service, ACCT Philly, as our Paw it Forward partner for the month of April.
ACCT Philly’s mission is to provide shelter, care, and life-saving efforts for homeless, abandoned and abused animals.
During the month of April, we will be donating 10% of all sales from our website to ACCT Philly in order to do our part to help Philadelphia’s neediest animals during this time of vulnerability.
ACCT Philly manages the city’s animal shelter facility in North Philadelphia, handling nearly 18,000 animals such as dogs and cats, small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually. They also help countless animals find their fur-ever homes through specialized pet adoptions.
We know how many of our beloved Shed Defender pups found their human through a local shelter and the amazing bonds that pet adoption can forge within our lives. This April, we want to shed a light on a positive cause with great results—and pups finding the loving homes they deserve.
