One of our favorite events is the San Diego Humane Society's Walk for Animals, but this year the event could not carry on because of the Covid-19 crisis. Instead of pulling our sponsorship, we decided to participate in their Virtual Walk for Animals.
The San Diego Humane Society is a local Southern California organization that does amazing work in our backyard. They are expected to care for over 50,000 animals this year! With that in mind, we were committed to supporting the cause despite the changes in the event. And we weren't the only ones - the virtual event raised over $180,000 that goes straight to providing lifesaving care for animals in need.
We are proud to be a part of this event year after year and were so impressed by how quickly the organization's staff and volunteers adapted to the Covid-19 crisis to put on a successful event. We're hoping next year we'll be back at Liberty Station with our pups showing off our Shed Defenders, but until then keep calm and carry on!
